The wheel of time is also a much grimmer show than its source material, having excised nearly all the levity and humor in an effort to be more mature, to its detriment. But none of this is new art commissioned specifically for this book. 14 books may seem like a daunting task, though it is more than worth it in the end. However, if one delves into reviews of the series it will not take long to discover it also has a fairly large number of detractors.
